This famous Chinese folktale is based on a Song Dynasty poem and tells about the brave young girl Mulan. The Khan Emporer calls every man to join the army and fight the invading barbarians. Mulan takes her ailing father's conscription notice and joins the army to save his life. Mulan disguises herself as a man by wearing men's clothes and riding a horse. Mulan leaves her family and fights bravely for the Emperor in her father's place and is soon a hero for all the soldiers in the Chinese army leading the Chinese army to victory against the Huns and Tartars. One of the soldiers, Ye Ming, is her best friend but he does not know that she is a woman. Can Mulan fall in love with a friend?
